Pukka Herbs has joined brands such as Tesco and Marks and Spencer in the fight against climate change by becoming only the 13th company in the UK to have its climate goal – to be zero carbon by 2030 – validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). The confirmation comes shortly after the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) released one of the most critical reports on climate change in recent years.
As the first company to develop recyclable tea envelopes and as an early adopter of renewable energy, Pukka has worked with energy performance and carbon management business, Carbon Credentials to become the first UK company of its size to commit under its targets to reduce direct (scope 1) and indirect (scope 2) greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions to be zero carbon in its buildings and vehicles by 2030.
