Urinary tract infections can make life a misery for many women and the chances of a woman getting a urinary tract infection and cystitis-like symptoms (UTI) at some time in their lives is high. Many women head straight for the GPs surgery to get a prescription for an antibiotic, but Bio-Health has introduced a natural alternative to meet this need.
Cranberries contain antioxidant compounds and clinical trials suggested that they may help reduce the risk of UTIs and recurrent UTIs. D-Mannose is a naturally occurring sugar found in cranberries and other fruits such as oranges and blueberries. Preliminary trials in Europe show that D-mannose may treat or prevent urinary tract infections. Simicina is a nutraceutical food supplement containing organic cranberry capsules in one container and D-Mannose capsules in the other.
Urologist Ashwani Kumar Sood was consulted on the development of Simicina and is excited by its launch: “In the patients that I see who suffer recurrent UTIs and cystitis-like symptoms, I would expect approximately 7 out of 10 of those taking cranberry and D-mannose to respond well, which may avoid the need for multiple courses of antibiotics in the future.” Contact Bio-Health or your preferred wholesaler for wholesale enquiries.
